ripping up vintage playboys for collage material and yeah, some of them are full of incredible articles. Interviews with Abbie Hoffman from the underground, the jfk assassination conspiracy, Carrie Fisher interviews, etc. but it makes me realize no fucking wonder we live in the rape culture that we do. this was the first 'pornography' a lot of men the generation before us were ever exposed to and there's a joke or comic referencing non-concentual actions against women on every other page. It reminds me that sometimes just ripping a photograph away from it's context, changing the gaze is a work of art. Shredding this is a work of art. I have to change all of these into positive images somehow.
