best birthday cake ever, made my a friend of my mom's when I was three
guess this is what 23 looks like. I need a haircut. Lookit that sour patch kid and geode earrings. necklace made by some friends' mother, tee shirt from a thrift store sale for about 10¢ it has a sweet shirt waist sort of curved hem.
books and stationary from mom & dad (so excited for new books I can't decide what to read first! probably the autobiography of red I started that one in a book store a while ago and never finished it)
party in a bag from my sister with little aspects of all our party classics; chalk, noisemaker balloons, bubbles in lil champagne bottles, amazing elastic plastic, candles, glitter
everyone knows I love old broken jewelry to make new things out of my mom & nana picked out some unused things. I'm guessing this cigarette holder belonged to my grandmother because my mother wasn't ever a smoker (nana used to smoke a carton every other day whew). those geode earrings need to become something great. (also makes me wish I had a way to saw/cut the unbroken geodes I have in my glove box)
my mother and sister and I tend to trade clothes back and forth a lot (that and the fact that one of my mom's best friends worked for betsey johnson for forever and gave us a lifetime supply of hand me downs is why you'll see lots of betsey things around here) this along with some other tops (one I bought in london years ago and hand handed down to my sister, a couple floral blouses of my sister's from h&m) I don't know if/how I'll wear this, it has a sort of tuxedo tails back but I never wear orange and the sleeves are a little weird. this one might end up in the shop at some point.
